Lucia-Lima (Aloysia Citodora), also known as lemon verbena, beautiful Luisa, herb Luisa, or sweet lime, is a species from the verbena family, native to South America (Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, and Peru). It found its way to Europe in the 17th century, introduced by the Spanish and Portuguese explorers.

During the Victorian Era (the reign of Queen Victoria of England), Lucia-Lima cultivation graced English gardens for the creation of natural aromatics and fragrances. Additionally, it was added to warm baths and essential oils for the body. Later, it was explored and brought to the European continent by Spaniards from South America.

🍃 Preparation:

• Water Temperature: 100ºC
• Infusion Time: 5 to 10 minutes
• Recommended Quantity: 1 teaspoon per person. Approximately 2g per cup.
• Boil water and then add it to a cup with dried Lucia-Lima leaves. Let it steep for about 10 minutes. Then, strain, wait for it to cool slightly, and drink 1 cup of tea 2 to 3 times a day, after main meals or as per the guidance of an herbalist or doctor.
